1. Experience – how long has the company been around? You can typically find this information on the company web site or by making a quick phone call. The main concern you should have is if the company has just started doing business in the last six months to a year.

2. Printing options – can the company handle both offset printing and digital printing? Depending on your needs, offset printing is best suited to very large print jobs. Digital printing is better for short runs of postcards. Both offer pricing and quality advantages.

3. Design options –can you design or upload your design via the company’s web site? This is useful for both getting a quote from the company as well as troubleshooting any design concerns.

4. Proofing – will the company send you a proof? Proofs are important for making sure that the colors translate from the computer monitor to the postcard printing company's printing presses, as well as making sure that everything is where it should be on the postcard.

5. Mailing options – can the company mail the postcard on your behalf? This can be useful as both a time saver and a money saver.
